OVERVIEW



Our tour will start from Museum of the Holy Saviour in Chora where you will see admirable medieval mosaics, describing Old and New Testament. This masterpiece of Byzantine Art was one of the most important monasteries of the ancient Constantinople.


Later, we will move to Fener & Balat districts, ex quartiers of Greek and Jewish community. The on foot tour consists of seeing some old typical and colorful buildings, one of which was the house of famous Askinazi Family, St.George Church ; the heart of Greek Ortodox and Phanar Greek Orthodox College locally known as the red school ,this cross shaped brick building is surely a hidden gem.


After a short walk on the shore of Golden Horn we will head to Pierre Loti hill where the tour finishes with a delicious turkish coffee and enjoying the unique panorama of the historical peninsula.
